Greetings,
My name is Peter Lee Adams 3rd and I'm a Notary Public for the State of Maryland. I was Commissioned in 2018 and recommissioned in 2021. I received a great deal of my Notarial skills and Educational background by taking classes at Prince George's Community College, and being a member of the National Notary Association. I improve my skills and knowledge as a Notary Public Professional by reading and doing signings.
Notarizing documents for people I've met makes me feel good because I'm doing something for someone who needs my assistance concerning something very important to them. I do my very best to accommodate them in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland's Notary Division. I make sure that the notarizations I perform are done correctly and impartially. I take my time checking the real ID when notarizing documents to make sure that the ID is not fake. I check to ensure that there are no blank spaces on the document(s) or certificate being notarized, etc.
I may Notarize Jurat, Oaths or Affirmations, Acknowledgments, Affidavits, Power of Attorney, Witnessing or Attesting a Signature, Living Wills, School Permission letters, and other important documents according to the guidelines set forth by the Secretary of State Notary Public Division of Maryland.
The FEES are
(1) $8.00 for the performance of a Notarial act.
(2) $30.00 for the performance of a remote Notarial
act.
A notary public may demand and receive reimbursement at the prevailing rate for mileage established by the Internal Revenue for business travel and a fee not to exceed $5.00 for travel if required for the performance of a notarial act.
$8.00 for each notarial act on the original or first copy of the record, and may demand and receive $4.00 for each notarial act on each additional copy of the same record.
A notary may demand and receive not more than $2.00 for each photocopy made of a notarial act and charge $6.00 for certifying a copy of a record in the notary's journal.

Due to Corvid-19, social distancing must be preserved when notarizing documents and everyone must wear face masks and hand sanitizers while performing in-person signings.
Important I am not an Attorney at Law; therefore, I do not advise individuals on the type of certificates to use on documents, nor do I give legal advice. I will Notarize most documents, but I am not a Notary Signing Agent-Independent Contractor @ this time, so I do NOT Notarize documents dealing with Loans or Closing Documents.
